Frequently Asked Questions
Yes. Customization is one of the main reasons buyers choose us over high-volume builders. You can make changes to our floor plans, exteriors and finishes, and most floor plan changes are free of charge. No two homes we build are exactly the same.
It depends on the path you choose. A new build on a vacant lot takes about 9 to 10 months. A Quick Closing home, already completed to drywall, takes about 3 to 4 months. Move-In Ready homes are finished and available now.
We complete a few homes to the drywall stage so buyers can move in faster while still choosing their interior selections: flooring, kitchen layout and cabinetry style and colours, tiles, countertops and wall paint.
We currently build at Sheldon’s Gate on Hamilton’s West Mountain and at Meadowlands of Ancaster, where one final home remains. We have built in Hamilton and Ancaster since 1987 and are excited about future projects in the area in the years to come.
Every Scarlett home includes over $210,000 in premium features as standard, across exterior, structure and mechanicals, interior trim, flooring, kitchen and baths, and signature details. See our Interiors and Exteriors pages for specifics.
Yes. Our listed prices include HST, net of the federal and Ontario new housing rebates. Rebate eligibility is determined by the federal and provincial governments.
$10,000 on signing, then staged payments of 2.5% every 30 days to a total of 10% over about 120 days. We are happy to discuss a structure that works for you.
Yes. Every home is covered by the Tarion new home warranty, which includes one-year, two-year and seven-year coverage. Scarlett Homes holds a Tarion Service Excellence rating.
Our model home at 1180 West 5th Street, Hamilton, is open Saturday and Sunday from 1:00pm to 4:00pm.
